Purpose and capture scope

Janus includes an optional Chrome extension, “Janus — Raise a ticket,” for submitting feedback or requests while viewing a page. Users enter a subject, description, and category, and can attach a page URL, screenshot, screen recording, or selected file. Submitted tickets are associated with the signed-in user and organization.

Capture is initiated by the user. The extension can request optional access to all websites for URL/screenshot capture; permission removal is scheduled after five minutes of inactivity. A screenshot can also attach the page URL, and submission can attach the current URL if permission remains available and the user has not explicitly removed it. The extension does not continuously monitor browsing history. Screen recording uses the browser's sharing chooser and may include audio when available and selected.

Ticket drafts, attachments, and some sign-in information can remain in local browser storage. Submission does not guarantee removal of local copies. Retention and access requirements therefore cover both local devices and cloud storage.

The extension is not required for meeting transcript processing or ordinary portal access. For each customer, installation, browser permissions, and the categories of content that may be captured must be agreed separately. It can capture content visible in internal systems without a direct system integration. Users must review content and URLs for confidential information, credentials, or protected data before submission.
